The tea from that region is called "Thai tea" and sometimes visitors to Vietnam think that the people of Vietnam prefer foreign tea as they keep talking about the excellent "Thai tea".

If you have time, you can also visit a village-on-stilts. Take a boat at the Main Wharf and turn left this time. Go for 4km till you reach the small village's watering place and there you will be able to experience a typical working day of farmers and fishermen from the village.

Itinerary in details

Day 1: Hanoi-Babe Lake (250km)

 

Hanoi-Babe National Park

8.00am: pick you up at your hotel and drive to Bac Kan province that BaBe lake located. Firstly, we will stop to visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Thai Nguyen city. After that keep on driving to Bac Kan province and have lunch at a restaurant. Upon arrival a Pac Ngoi small village of the Tay minority people located inside Babe National Park, we check-in at homestay and relax with a short walk around the village and park. Back home for dinner and talk with our very local warm and friendly hosts. Learn about this interesting culture and customs and way of life of Tay people as well. (L/D)

Day 2: Visiting Babe Lake by motor boat (17km)

 

Hanoi-Babe National Park

At the first of gleam of daylight, you will see and hear the sounds of morning village life. You can join them in some of their activities, like feeding the animals; cleaning the houses, gardening or preparing breakfast. After breakfast, we start to discover the imposing charm of this area. You will relax by seeing and taking a series of the unforgetable photos  with the Widow island, Puong cave, Dau Dang waterfall and the spectacular views as well. After that we will stop for lunch at the local food stall close to Dau Dang waterfall so that you can listen the sounds of waterfall, singing birds, cicadas… Enjoy great swimming and water fun on the way come back the homestay. Dinner is served about 7h and spend a second night sleep in the traditional stilt home. (B/L/D)

Day 3: Babe Lake-Hanoi (250km)
Once Again, take advantage of the morning's fresh air and village energy. Have breakfast and enjoy a last leisurely walk in the park. Check-out and say goodbye to the local warmly and friendly Tay People for Hanoi about 9h30. Have lunch on the way back Hanoi. We arrive Hanoi at 5.00pm back your hotel. The end of services. (B/L)
