Con Dao is an archipelago of 14 islands situated 180km off the southeast coast of Vietnam. Con Dao is one of only two national parks in Vietnam, which encompasses both terrestrial and marine natural resources. The island remains largely undisturbed and is among the best conserved areas in the country. Con Dao supports a high level of biodiversity – over 1,300 marine species have identified so far such as dugongs, dolphins, and green turtles. Additionally, pristine beaches, green primitive forests and an eventful history give Con Dao so much to offer. Protected as a national park since 1993, Con Dao is an absolute haven for drivers, nature lovers and beach vacationers
Itinerary in details:
Day 1: Arrival in Con Dao
Meet at Con Dao Airport on arrival and transfer to your resort. After hotel check-in, spend rest of the day for visits to the Con Dao Museum and colonial jails, and then a soft trek of 6km to Ong Dung Beach, where you can enjoy the stunning beach. Overnight in Con Dao.
Day 2: Con Dao scuba diving for certified divers (B/ L)
Walk a short distance to the pier and board the rainbow boat, equipped with VFH radios, GPS, Depth Finder, TV and Video Player for a cruise journey to nearby islands. Enjoy 2 dives exploring the underwater world. Con Dao is absolutely an ideal sire for divers, which offers a visual feast, with over 1,000 hectares of stunning coral reefs teeming with a colorful array of marine life. Lunch served between the dives. Stay overnight in Con Dao.
Day 3: Departure from Phu Quoc (B)
AM: Free at leisure. PM: transfer to the airport for departure.
